I am not Zoella. Sorry about that.

As a self confessed, greedy make up obsessive I love to make use of the many social media platforms available today. Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, they are all feeding my addiction to looking at, planning, talking about and sharing make up stuff.

I first started blogging a few years ago and was surprised at how therapeutic the process could be. Even more surprising was the revelation that people where actually reading these blogs and enjoying the content. This has spurred me on to continue writing and in an effort to be better I jumped onto Google and began researching successful blogs. I have a number of make up artist blogs and posts that I have been reading for some years but as I can be a bit of a creature of habit I thought it best to spread my search.

Without even really trying I stumbled into a world of 16-20 year old bloggers dishing out advice and reviews on everything, makeup, baking, books, travel, technology, fashion......... EVERYTHING! All of them doused in pastel colours and fairy lights, cookie cutter copies of the now global phenomenon and social Media powerhouse Zoe Sugg AkA Zoella.

Just to be clear, I am not insulting Zoella here, in fact I have become a bit of fan! Her perfectly tousled hair, happy, smiley demeanour and endless recording of her super cute pug puppy are the perfect sweetener for a dull Sunday morning. Not only is she a squeaky clean role model for her millions (yes she actually has nearly 10 Million subscribes on YouTube) of pre pubescent followers, I can't help but admire this young women's entrepreneurial spirit.

However, I am forced to admit that, despite my best efforts I am not Zoella! As I look around my home I realise that unlike the for mentioned media giant I do not have gold embossed quotations in frames, seasonal throws and a mind blowing array of bath bombs scented with the puke of mythical unicorn babies!

So what is a Sarahclairemua blog going to be like? The jokes will probably be bad, the content could be jarringly honest and on off days it could even boarder on a good old fashioned moan. When you begin writing you are always advised to 'write about what you know', so that is what I will do. The world I inhabit is not candy floss fluffy, but is instead filled with an array of interesting characters and experiences, driven by an un ending compulsion to paint myself and other people. I will share my thoughts and recommendations, ideas and experience with you, aiming to always be honest and true to my own beliefs. It may not always be make up related as creativity is born out of a whole range of interests, so feel free to jump in and out for the bits that suit you.

The make up industry can be unpredictable and my schedule very changeable. however moving forward I will be aiming to release a new BLOG EVERY SUNDAY. Check back here for new updates, comments and suggestions are also welcome......... If you do spot me buying bath bombs please don't judge!
